AEROSPACE AND HIGH TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS IN CRAIOVA AND DOLJ COUNTY

INDES Aviation (IAV) and Dolj County Council today, 27 October, partnered in organising a high-level investment seminar to explore business and outsourcing opportunities in the region.
The meeting at Dolj County Council and was chaired by Senator Olguţa Lia Vasilescu, and attended by leading businesses from the Dolj region. IAV were accompanied by directors of international companies including Honeywell, Makino and Portsmouth Aviation.
Focussing on investment incentives, skills development and partnership opportunities, the wide-ranging discussions identified a series of common interests as the foundation for more detailed talks in future. Both Reinhard Gruber, General Manager of Makino, and Jakub Hoda from Honeywell’s Defence and Aerospace Division spoke of their ongoing search for investment opportunities in Romania, stressing the importance of innovation and sound managerial practices to their companies when agreeing local partnerships.
