INDES Naval, a specialised division of INDES Aviation, has today, 16 October 2010, signed a new representation deal with Leafield Logistics & Technical Services (LLTS).

Under the terms of the agreement INDES will act as the Representative for Leafield in Romania, promoting its services to the Romanian Ministry of Defence, the Romanian Navy and related companies.

LLTS provide comprehensive materiel support to Navies, Original Equipment Manufacturers, prime contractors and trading companies around the world. Contracted to the UK MOD through the Disposal Services Authority since 1992, Leafield is in prime position to support requirements for spare parts for ex-Royal Navy surface vessels and submarines.

In 2004, the Romanian Navy purchased two frigates, the Regele Ferdinand and Regina Maria from the UK Ministry of Defence. The Ferdinand serves as the flagship of the Romanian Navy.

INDES Aviation has continued in expansion in Central and Eastern Europe with the opening of a new office in Bulgaria.

Developed in conjunction with Innimmo, a Bulgarian Investment Management and Advisory company, the Sofia office becomes the fourth INDES location in CEE, and its first outside of Romania.

Speaking at the opening, Calin Huma, INDES Aviation’s Chief Executive Officer said, “this new office is an important step for INDES and will ensure that we can more effectively represent our clients in Bulgaria.”
